Introduction to METI certification
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) has released detailed information on this method. Its formulator is the Information Economy Division of the Commerce and Information Policy Bureau. The report "The Japanese Government Develops Blockchain Project Evaluation Methods" shows that METI refers to this process as a method for evaluating various use-case projects, evaluating 32 required characteristics such as scalability, privacy, and overall reliability.
1) For products exported to Japan that have applied for PSE certification, METI is required to file!
2) PSE certification is a compulsory safety certification in Japan, used to prove that electrical and electronic products have passed the safety standards tests of the DENAN Law or international IEC standards. Japan's DENTORL Law (Electrical Device and Material Control Law) stipulates that 498 products entering the Japanese market must pass PSE safety certification. Among them, 165 kinds of Class A products should obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark, and 333 kinds of Class B products should obtain the round PSE mark.
3) The METI filing regulations require that Japanese buyers must register and report to Japan’s METI within one month after purchasing the product, and must mark the purchase name or ID on the product for future supervision and management during product sales.
